I have worked in Cruise Ferries for at least 3 years now and I thought about writing some of the anecdotes that I have seen myself while being in the ship.
The most memorable one is when I got to see a very famous singer and become his friend. I can’t say her name because I promised her that I wouldn’t tell anyone. Well for the sake of this article I’m going to call her Sandy. Sandy was registered in the ship with a fake name. I guess that it was for her own protection and because she didn’t want to be bothered while being on holidays. One day I was walking down the corridor when I saw her entering to her room. I was so excited that I shouted her name and asked her for her autograph.
She asked me please not to tell anyone that she was on board. She actually made me promise. When I asked her for her autograph she invited me into her room. I guess that she didn’t want others to notice that she was famous. We chatted only for a little bit and before I left she asked me my name.
I thought that I wasn’t going to see her anymore until my boss came and told me that I was designed to serve the guest in that room. He never mentioned her name or something he just mentioned the room. So I went to the room and there she was. This time she was wearing a wig and glasses. She asked me if I had any trouble being the only one to serve her during the ship so I said no.
I totally understood that she wanted to have a nice holiday away from the pressure of the press so I followed the game. Only my best friends know about my adventure and I have very nice pictures to show and prove my story. Many interesting things can happen in a ship, If I sat down to write all my anecdotes and the anecdotes of other people that I know about then I would never finish I think.
Another very funny anecdote was this guy that attended a roman party at the ship. In the ship there are thematic parties and all the guest have to comply with the dress code or otherwise they cannot enter to the party. This guy came dressed as a roman. In the middle of the party he was so drunk that he didn’t realize that his bottom was showing off. It was really funny everyone wanted to have a picture with him but taken from the back. The guy never notices why everyone was laughing so much.
